Dr. Zhenping Zhu, our cofounder, has over 38 years of experience in innovative biologics drug discovery and global development. In his early career, Dr. Zhu held positions in multiple biopharmaceutical companies, including vice president at ImClone Systems Inc., vice president at Novartis Pharma AG, a subsidiary of Novartis AG (NVS.NYSE; NOVN.SIX), and executive vice president at Kadmon Corporation. After that, Dr. Zhu successively served as president of research and development and chief scientific officer at 3SBio Inc. (三生製藥)(01530.HK) from January 2017 to September 2019. He also served as director, deputy general manager and president of research and development of Sunshine Guojian Pharmaceutical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (三生國健藥業(上海)股份有限公司)(688336.SH), a subsidiary of 3SBio Inc., from June 2019 to January 2022. In January 2022, Dr. Zhu founded HanBio Therapeutics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (丹生醫藥技術(上海)有限公司), where he served as the chairman of the board and the chief executive officer. He has also been serving as an independent non-executive director of ImmuneOnco Biopharmaceuticals (Shanghai) Inc. (宜明昂科生物醫藥技術(上海)股份有限公司)(01541.HK) since August 2016. Dr. Zhu also previously served as a non-executive director of Refuge Biotechnologies Inc., Verseau Therapeutics and Numab Therapeutic AG.
