Dr. Randy Noelle is an Emeritus Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Dartmouth Medical School. He is the co-founder and former Chief Scientific Officer of ImmuNext, a biotechnology company established in 2008.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has held numerous academic and leadership positions. From 2016 to 2022, he was the endowed Kosasa Chair Professor at Dartmouth. Prior to that, he served as Professor of Transplant Science and Immunotherapy at the MRC Centre for Transplantation, King's College London (2009–2014). At Dartmouth, he has held several key roles, including Acting Chair of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology (2008–2010), Director of the Immunotherapy Center (2005–2009), Deputy Director of the Norris Cotton Cancer Center (2002–2003), and Co-Director of the Immunology and Immunotherapy Program (2001–2009).
His academic journey includes decades of service in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Dartmouth, progressing from Assistant Professor (1984–1989), to Associate Professor (1990–1995), and ultimately Professor (1995–2024).
Dr. Noelle has received numerous prestigious honors for his scientific and entrepreneurial achievements. These include the 2022 Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Dartmouth College, an elected Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences in 2012, and both the Welcome Trust Principal Research Fellowship and Distinction Award in 2010. He was also awarded the NIH MERIT Award in 2004 and the Eijkman Award from Ultrecht in 2003.
