Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences (CATS)

Meghana is the Executive Manager at Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences (CATS), a Strategic Research Initiative by the University of Cambridge. CATS facilitates the development of new therapeutics and supports the education and training of the next generation of world-leading researchers and entrepreneurs. In her role she is responsible for the overall strategy and development of CATS. She manages the CATS team and drives collaboration and partnership in research translation, education, training and policy. This includes working with academics across the University, industry leaders and key opinion leaders, CATS foundation partners and international associates to establish collaborative partnerships. Meghana also works with the Strategic Partnership Office at the University of Cambridge as a New Strategic Partnership Manager for Life Sciences focussing on the development of new strategic partnerships between external organisations and Cambridge academics in the pharmaceutical and health care sector.

Meghana received her PhD from the University of Cambridge and continued as a research associate driving research in Immunology and Cardiovascular diseases. She has worked at GSK in drug discovery as a scientist and in an Academic Industry partnership. Before joining the CATS team, she worked at LifeArc and commercialisation offices across various universities in London, including UCL, Queen Mary University London and Imperial College London. She has received multiple awards and scholarship for her work including Gates Cambridge Trust, St Edmunds College Commonwealth Research Scholarship and JD Oza Gold medal.
