Mathai Mammen served as Executive Vice President, Pharmaceuticals, R&D, Johnson & Johnson, from 2017-2022, where he lead the mission to develop and deliver transformative medicines that positively impact patients worldwide. As Global Head of R&D for Janssen, the pharmaceutical arm of J&J, he built on an already strong foundation to create a truly world-class portfolio, a powerful future-facing innovation engine, and disciplined R&D strategy. Together, the teams redefined how they discovered and developed drugs, were deeply invested in immunology across all disease areas, and strongly committed to improving access to make medicines and vaccines for all parts of the globe.
