Dr. Gunilla Osswald is the CEO of BioArctic, a Swedish research-based biopharma company focusing on disease-modifying treatments for neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and ALS. Gunilla holds a pharmacist and a PhD degree from Uppsala University and has over 35 years of experience in drug development in CNS disorders from the pharma industry, most of it from AstraZeneca where she held roles in several parts of the business, including VP and was responsible for the neurodegeneration portfolio globally. Gunilla joined BioArctic in 2013 and has during her tenure helped transform the company from a private research firm to a listed biopharma company with collaborations with global pharma companies.
